While Hale Center is Nice, its just not competitive with the big boyz like Michigan, Texas, Nebraska and soon Maryland. Schiano realized this in 2007, which is why a Hale Center replacement, was originally included in the Stadium Expansion plans. It was removed for budgetary reasons.
I envision a state of the art facility, which has every bell and whistle imaginable. Maybe build it in the shape of the Death Star. It will be a $100M facility with indoor practice fields, a new state of the art S&C center, lots of OLED TVs, maybe even a jacuzzi for well heeled alumni who support the program at a high level. It will also include a sports medicine facility which will run by Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Maryland is including this idea with their new football facility, and I think its a great idea. Everything should be state of the art, befitting of a program that aspires to be #1 someday.
10K fans giving 10K over five years, gets it done. Thats $166.66 a month. Thats not even a car payment.
