THIS IS RUTGERS BASKETBALL

Yup, who is going to say Spencer isn’t a big ten level player now and we don’t run a good enough offense. We have held every opponent this year I believe at least 20 points under their average.

Cam was great tonight and what a shot - onions! I did question his ability to play well against very athletic guards in the B1G after his early struggles, but I just said I wanted to wait to see how he'd do (not that he couldn't do well) and, we;l, he's shown he can be a B1G player and leader. Well done!

Great game by most of the players and only addressing the ‘run a good offense’ point above: not when McConnell is involved. Last year through now he’s a shot clock killing iso player. Doesn’t pass with 10 seconds left on clock. Thank god he wasn’t involved at the end.

Kyle will. Noticeably silent

That was one of my concerns originally, but we've been optimizing the offense to hit his strengths beautifully. Love it.

I know you hear the crickets from the naysayers as I do. 😁

When will football take down the #1 team in the country?

Why can the basketball team be turned around but not the football team?

A great win on Purdue's home court too! They need to build on this going forward! I think that hard fought game against SHU may have helped prepare them for winning this game and winning tough games going forward.

Loved the post game interview with Paul - Cam wanted the ball and gave his best Jimmy Chitwood impersonation (in Indiana no less) 😁 Maybe it answers the question who will take the big shot at the end of the game.

Has Spencer ever made a bad play or bad decision ? He knows what he can and can’t do, and also what his teammates can and can’t do. Very impressive. I don’t think even Pike expected such an impact.

Yes - he was horrible in both the Miami game and the Indiana game. Everyone has off games. Yet, your crucifying Caleb’s offense based on one single game for some odd reason and he wasn’t even close as bad as your making it out to be.

Without Caleb’s offense at Miami - we probably lose that game by 30.

Rutgers defense was outstanding in that game. Seton Hall's defense was too. That's why that loss didn't worry me as much as it did a lot of RU fans

Rutgers Basketball is what you saw in the first half against Purdue. Full court pressing elite defense either turning them over or getting the shot clock reduced giving them less time on their offensive great sets plus turnovers leading to fast breaks and Cliff rim running.
Foul trouble prevented Rutgers Basketball from playing to our strengths second half with the press eliminated and Paul having to come up big and Cam hitting big shots (2 threes in second half , 10 minutes apart ) but playing walk it up half court offense against Purdue was not Rutgers basketball and we still won . A testament to the mental toughness. Same toughness showed at Ohio State ( which still pissed me off that we would be 3-0 and the front runner for the title ) . Not having Paul at Miami and Caleb only being back 1 game prevented the win at Miami as well. We have the weapons and a nice combination of offense and defense that can go a long way.
