There are several high profile injuries at RB throughout the league:
Adrian Peterson- Vikings
Arian Foster-Texans
Doug Martin-Bucs
Danny Woodhead-Chargers
Jonathan Stewart-Panthers
Ameer Abdulah-Lions
Thomas Rawls- Seahawks

Seven players who either start or share the load for their team got hurt yesterday. If Ray Rice, who seems to have made amends with his spouse and has been a good citizen, doesn't get a call on Tuesday for a tryout, he may never.

Is there any evidence that the casino incident was part of a pattern of abuse?
Or was it a one time drunken horrible mistake?
Ray had a good reputation before that which included time spent with different youth groups and charities.
Was that just PR hiding his true nature
or is he really a good guy who made one colossal error?

Its been proven in the NFL, if you can contribute to the winning % you will get a shot, regardless of your baggage. If anyone thinks he can help he will get a call
Isn't Ray going to play for free if he gets a chance?!? I mean, continued blackballing of Ray has to be 99% about perception and 1% about his ability if he is willing to play for free, right?

He's not just fighting age and rust at this point. He's fighting perception.

If he really wants to get back, he's going to need to go above and beyond and do something drastic to revamp his image.

Like donate half his salary to a charity focused on domestic abuse.

I think he said he would donate his entire 2016 salary.

Win, and no one cares what you did in the past. Just ask Bobby Petrino.

Are any of Ray's old position coaches working for any of those needy teams?

No offense to Ray but he was shot in 2013...3.1 avg per carry.

Schiano ran the hell out of him while he was at RU.

No chance of him coming back now.

as a RB he needs a shot on a practice squad to show if he still has it. It has been 2 years and a good 30-50 RBs have graduated college that probably have equal or better physical ability (strength and speed). If he doesn't get picked up this year he should look to Canada or Arena football for a chance.

Does it matter? Once is enough.

That same season the other RB on Baltimore, Pierce, saw a similar decline in production. I have to believe the offensive line bears the brunt of the blame.

he's not eligible for the practice squad

Again his backup went from 4.9 a carry to 2.9 a carry. That tells me offensive line was horrible that year.

OL couldn't perform the zone blocking brought in the season after Cam Cameron got fired. Classic case of new coaches trying to impose a system they didn't have personnel for
