I post infrequently, but read frequently, so based on everything I have heard on here, I wanted to share a quick story about 1 specific Rutgers Professor (I preface that I'm a huge RU fan, season ticket holder, heading to PA on Saturday, and believe that Kyle Flood did the wrong thing for the right reason.)
I'm class of '92 and was very involved in Rutgers Athletics through varied campus affiliations. All of my professors were aware, since i traveled with football, soccer and men's and women's basketball on multiple occasions. One English professor who was not fond of athletics (and everyone knew it and he led campus demonstrations against it and if I used his name all on here would go right i know him) found me distracting in his class. Granted I was a relatively big personality, but I attended class, bought his way overpriced book and did what I needed to for a good grade. During one class, I vehemently stood up for a classmate who was being berated for not answering a question (she "passed" on the question and class rules were we could all pass). This professor proceeded to end class early and asked that I see him in his office. I did...the short story, he offered me and "A" to no longer come back to his class. I did not trust him, asked for it in writing and he conveniently changed his mind and suggested we start over. The start over conversation I remember like yesterday. We were walking side by side up George Street passed where the seminary used to be heading towards the river dorms (right where the new honors college is located). I agreed to start over (Put a "shroud over the incident" as he said). I received and earned B+ and went on my merry way. Just thought I should remind people in glass houses not to throw stones.
