Good point. Scheduling accommodations will be interesting. I’m looking forward for UCLA in BB and USC in FB. It ll also be interesting to see if west coast recruiting picks up for the conference given the additions of both schoolsThoughts are it will be interesting how the conference handles the schedule evacuee right now we play every 3 or 4 days for the next month once B1G play starts. Won’t be fair to USC or UCLA going on the road and playing again 3 days later too many times in the season.
Got to be easier these days with online courses or virtual classes. Don't have to be physically in a room all the time. Can go on the road and cover 2 schools on a trip. Not ideal, but more doable than in the past.Thoughts are it will be interesting how the conference handles the schedule evacuee right now we play every 3 or 4 days for the next month once B1G play starts. 22 game league schedule with national names and brands every where you turn
Bring it on!
As long as they don't make us play Eastern Illinois I say bring it on.We are now a national conference.

Seriously.👍Eh dont really care about "fair".
As they say "that's what the money is for".
USC/UCLA knew what they were signing up for regarding schedule and location of their conference games.
They decided the $$$ was worth the inconvenience.
Or Lafayette. I still have spasms....As long as they don't make us play Eastern Illinois I say bring it on.
I'm seriously considering USC for their online Master's program in Supply Chain, so I might start paying attention to them soon enough.I know UCLA pummeled Illinois the other day but the west coast teams are going to be shocked at the intensity of B1G conference play day in and out.
I watch a lot of Pac12 (10?) and they are S O F T, and the away game atmospheres are not even in the same stratosphere as the B1G
plenty of seats available in their top notch arena. They're like State Penn--if its not football, no one caresI'm seriously considering USC for their online Master's program in Supply Chain, so I might start paying attention to them soon enough.
Rutgers supply chain management program is one of the bestI'm seriously considering USC for their online Master's program in Supply Chain, so I might start paying attention to them soon enough.
This is a great point. I think UCLA will handle the jump well because Mick Cronin is a tough SOB.I know UCLA pummeled Illinois the other day but the west coast teams are going to be shocked at the intensity of B1G conference play day in and out.

It most absolutely is but so is USC's and I kinda want to not go to the same school I went for undergrad if I choose to go for grad school. Like if I had kids I'd tell them to go to Rutgers for undergrad but go anywhere you want for grad school.Rutgers supply chain management program is one of the best
They're my second favorite team too! Can't wait to watch us beat my second favorite team (UCLA) at JMA.
I think UCLA will deal with it.I know UCLA pummeled Illinois the other day but the west coast teams are going to be shocked at the intensity of B1G conference play day in and out.

CoC as Bill Walton calls it.I know UCLA pummeled Illinois the other day but the west coast teams are going to be shocked at the intensity of B1G conference play day in and out.

A UCLA or a USC athlete will have 85+ flights of 6 hours over their career. This is absolutely stupid and players should be paid because it is all for $
As someone who’s flown over 2 million miles I was chuckling at this one too.How do you figure?
First of all. No team is ever going to take more than 5 conference road trips total per year and even that would be a lot.
Do you really think their basketball teams are going to make separate trips to play Illinois and NW? Michigan and Michigan State? Indiana and Purdue?
None of those flights are more than 4 and a half hours either by the way.
I’m sure they will take one east coast trip every two years and play RU, PSU and Maryland in one trip. That’s probably the only 6 hour flight. You think they deserve extra money for having to take a 10 day road trip east twice in 4 years? I’m sure they will plan stuff in DC and NYC to make it fun and market as a recruiting tool. Please.
Do any P5 teams do this now? Take one trip and play multiple conference games? How do you figure?

So are they then going to stay in a hotel room for 4 days between games and not go to classes. How do you figure?

Unlikely.UCLA/USC are going to play 3 straight roads games at RU, PSU and UMD?
Probably over 10 days?
to clarify what I meant earlier--never meant to say UCLA is a soft team. I just think both UCLA and USC are not going to really going to expect how difficult road games will be in the B1G. The Pac12 environments (maybe with the exception of Arizona) are not in same ballpark
In the olden times, the PAC 8 played 2 games a weekend. For example, UCLA and USC would play at Wash and Wash St then they would come and do the same. Saved on travel. Same with Stanford/Cal and Oregon/Oregon StThoughts are it will be interesting how the conference handles the schedule given right now we play every 3 or 4 days for the next month once B1G play starts. Just our luck that first time will be in Trenton.Looking forward to the reaction quotes from UCLA and USC the first time they come to the RAC and leave shell shocked
Minimally, they should get to earn the frequent flier miles for all the travel. I have a hunch, though, that the universities collect those instead of letting the athletes get them.A UCLA or a USC athlete will have 85+ flights of 6 hours over their career. I respect that you are sensing an RU Screw.Just our luck that first time will be in Trenton.

Other than each other what will be UCLA's or USC closest game?
