Baseball Three New Rutgers Baseball Hitters To Know Ahead Of 2025 Season

All of the updates are appreciated. I was wondering what happened to Tony Rossi and why he is not on the roster – – I think some others are wondering as well. There was also a touted left-handed pitcher transfer from Virginia Tech that is not on the roster and I was also wondering what happened with him.

They both left the program after fall ball essentially quitting after realizing they wouldn’t play much this year.

I am surprised -- Rossi hit .400 plus in Div. III and had something like 25-25 stolen bases with some power and standing 6'5". It also seemed that there were not a ton of infielders on the roster. Did it just not translate for him, or do we have another option that will pleasantly surprise us at third base? -- Connor Grotyohann? Jan Avila?

I also thought that the Va. Tech guy, who is local, was highly thought of, and being a lefty he was at a position of need.

Again, thanks for the info -- you may have more subscribers interested in RU baseball than you realize so keep the updates coming and tell Hector that we look forward to more of his excellent insights.
