Today is National Giving day and therefore, it's Rutgers Giving Day....24 hours of giving to Rutgers.

You can donate to any of the 3 campuses and a multitude of programs within each. Last year, Athletics at New Brunswick received the most donations...$100,000 and they are looking to beat that number this year as well as increase the total number of donors.

You can keep an eye on number of donors as well as total donations all day long. You can even see exactly where all the money is going. As of 8:30am ...8 hours into the project...there are 1625 donors who have donated $306,083. That is for ALL of Rutgers. Athletics is at $17,313.

if they had hired Mark Richt... maybe.... good luck though!

@MrsScrew, if people donate to the Build Foundation through the RU Giving website are the 5-year pledges and Captains receiving credit for referring people to donate able to happen or should we do that through the regular Build site?

yes, donations to the Build Fund via the Giving Day website count towards the Captains if you let them know you donated.

I'm always looking for new team members!

I gave a little bit to 3 different areas so far, one of them being the R B1G Build.

Douglass College at 96k from only 166 donors vs the 600 donors for $85k for athletics. Pretty impressive.

Last year overall RU Giving Day raised 1.25 million from 4,766 donors. Awesome to see even more donors this year, even at a smaller donation amount per person

Final Tally:

6464 donors gave $981,606 . More people than last year but about $500,000 less money

Athletics had 645 donors donating $86,926. I'm not sure how many donors athletics had last year but I know they raised about $20,000 more than we did this year. I would venture to guess that the people who have signed in to pledge to the Build Fund did not donate as often or as much on giving day this year as they did last year.

If you missed out donating yesterday you can still donate to the Build Fund. The fund is still about $40M short of its goal.

Email or private message me for information

maybe actually caring about the team and not playing second fiddle to every other D1 program out there?... getting an available coach who is PROVEN???????

you do realize that Giving Day is about way more than athletics, right? it was your opportunity to give back to the specific group or school that you have an alliance with. Maybe the program you graduated from? The scholarship fund? Not everything is about football.

outside of my cable tv ... RU ain't getting shit from me till they nut up or shut up and start acting like a REAL DIV1 program

i've never said that i was an alum.. i'm the outspoken fan of the STATE OF NEW JERSEY'S TEAM

I made a donation to the Build Fund last night.

I'm sick and tired of the small-time thinking of Barchi, I want RU to have great sports teams, especially football and men's basketball.

great! He did good with the Hobbs hire and so far Hobbs has done good with the Pikiell hire...so we are 2/3 of the way there!

did you join a team because I can add you to mine.

I'm not an alum either but I have bought into the whole package, not just football.

Is that what being the spouse of @RUScrew85 is referred to?

Seriously, thank you for your dedication. It is nice to have non-alum's and spouses of alums buying in and supporting our great state University in more than just athletics.
