Just bought tix for tomorrow's game. Never been to a Rutgers basketball game but was at the RAC last year for wrestling vs Iowa so I've seen how great an atmosphere it can be....can't wait.

Anyway, for basketball, how early should I try and get in? I usually like to get in football games an hour early to watch warmups and everything. I'm guessing for basketball probably like a half hour before tip? Also, for parking, I think I've read its $10 right?

Can't wait to be part of it tomorrow, place is gunna be rocking! Lets go!

By the way does anyone know what's up with the giveaway? The schedule online says:

"NEW COURT MAGNET GIVEWAY FOR RUTGERS GAMEDAY APP HOLDERS"

Anyone know how that'll work?

TFIO,

Great stuff! I think a half hour-hr would be best. Depends. I don't get there that early, but I am sure a lot of people do. 10 dollar parking.

Make it rock! Make it RAC!

I wasn't going to go because of the 6pm start but i gave in and bought tix today. If they are going to give that kind of effort on D, then i will give same effort to get out of work early and fight cple hours of traffic.

Great news. The RAC is awesome when rocking. Doors open one hour early. Food selection is typical game day stuff. if you have kids, there is a "bottomless" bucket of popcorn for 9, good if you get multiple refills and take some home.

Will be there in spirit.

Have fun. RU hoops comprises most of my favorite live sporting event memories (Cespedes’ no-doubt jack in G3 of 2015 playoffs has to put that game near the top).

If you have potential traffic issues, get there early. I never do, coming from Metuchen and not parking in the hoops lots (faculty parking baby! - small perk from doing a lot of things for RU), so I always get to the RAC about 5 minutes before tip-off.

If you haven't been to a bigtime bball game at the RAC you are in for a treat!

I think kyk recommends getting there around noon
Yes but he lives in Nebraska and is probably talking central time.

I would go in through the ave E. And hospital road entrance . Approach ave E from Metlar’s lane side

Sutton rd way is a mess

Im planning to arrive by 4 and hit Henrys Diner for an early dinner.
You may have to get there a little before 4 to get a table at Henry’s. Source: lived above it last year and it would be filling up fast before the games. Sold out Friday night? May be worse. But with the early start, I don’t know maybe people with work won’t get there too early so you may be good. Anyway, that wasn’t helpful good luck

I saw that tix for good seats are going for more than $100 apiece on Stub Hub.

Stub hub is the most expensive option

Middle of section 206/212/216 etc were $60ish this morning on seatgeek and vivid.
Found $30 each

My only recommendation is get there very early to avoid the game-day traffic. It’s difficult to get to the lot especially general parking. It’s an early start but I would rather be in the RAC early and not miss the first half. It goes fast and before you know it, you’ve missed a lot of basketball

Just be sure to pack your LOUD voice. Crowd will need to help the kids survive the IZZO pressure in the first 4 minutes, as I am worried about tonight being a let-down game.

should be the best game at the RAC in years. Stay positive, as Coach Pike has proven he can make adjustments quickly in-game !

And everyone should arrive as early as their day allows. Early start should help w/student attendance also !!

I will be there with my son this evening. Will likely hit some traffic since I am picking him up at Metro Park around 5. Hoping for a competitive game. Should be fun.

The first time they closed the Sutton hospital road entrance it made it real tough coming in from metlars lane side

It took about 45 minutes to get into the parking lot starting at the Sutton metlars traffic light. Just getting to the Rockefeller rd entrance was brutal
