allow people to smoke in the stadium? or at least have a couple sections for smoking.. one of the new endzone corners perhaps?

bees and yellow jackets hate smoke

Green lot has been a disaster all year. Almost swallowed one in my beer this week. Must say that yellow jacket had an exquisite beer palate.

Speaking of yellow jackets, they changed the yellow jackets to blue this year. Holy crap I am so confused and don't know who to ask for help in the stadium with these stinking bees.

It's the time of the year they get more aggressive. Being this is an issue now sounds like there's something around the stadium/lots that's attracting them like never before. Maybe they were planning on hanging at "The Alley" but now have nowhere to go.

I know it's annoying but be thankful they're around. They have disappeared in large numbers recently haven't they?

. Fair point. I guess I would have been more amenable to sharing if it was from my cup instead of my mouth.

If it was a female yellow jacket either is fine.

LOL.

I used to bartend at an outdoor bar right next to a lake. You learn very quickly not to pick anything up without checking first. You also never put fruit in a drink till the last second. Even so you'd still probably average getting stung other shift this time of year.

They're more afraid of you than you are of them.

Of course, with some of the people on this board I seriously question that.

At the Howard game there was a pretty big guy who looked like he really worked out. A yellow jacket buzzed him and he ran up the stadium steps like my sister.

They were pretty active in the Yellow lot on Saturday, too. I expect it, this time of year. The little yellow jackets get all crazy and go dumpster diving and bothering people for food and crawling up in soda cans and stuff. There was one that kept buzzing me while I was trying to enjoy my fine bourbon and I just reached out and snatched it out of the air and...

wait...

You have a sister?

Some people are highly allergic.

I've been allergic ever since I got stung 3x in a week as a kid and will blow up like Will Smith in Hitch, and still not nearly as bad as some have it.

Are these banned by stadium policy, and if so, why has no one complained about it yet?

Our badminton rights are being infringed!

I'd post the question in the food/drink policy thread but I was blocked for not being whiny enough.

I am allergic also but not afraid, leave a can for them to congregate, seems to work, cover up food....by Nov gone

That's well and good. People handle things differently and also have different levels of allergy to worry about. I'm not afraid, either. But making fun of a guy, muscular or otherwise, running from a bee without knowing his story is lame.

I didn't make fun I think you responded to 2 posts in mine. I just pointed out I am very allergic to most bug bites and for a long time carried an epi pen...last few years , tolerance better

The one beer can for you or one cafe patron shot seems to get them to leave me alone

I wasn't suggesting you did. The poster I originally responded to did.

Personally I use a couple of these home, where I often have a sh#t-ton of bees and wasps. From my experience, makes a stack of bees like that quite quickly and effectively, but I guess security'll probably confiscate it at the gate (along with your beer and Patron bottle ; )
