Awful for the player and the team. You have to wonder if he'll ever play again if it's the same injury.
Rutgers’ Adam Charalambides to miss 2018 season with torn ACL
Rutgers Scarlet Knights starting attackman Adam Charalambides will miss his second consecutive season due to a season-ending injury, according to Matt Kinnear of Inside Lacrosse.
In the report, Charalambides tore one of his ACL, but it’s unknown which leg he suffered the injury.

That is really unfortunate for Adam. I do not know if it is the same knee but I am not completely surprised as I noted after the Loyola scrimmage that he did not look to be 100%. I was hoping the winter months would be kind to him but alas it is not the case.

That is really too bad. I had been told that it was a middie who had re injured himself. Also thought that he didn't look good on that leg in the Loyola scrimmage.
This was the injury alluded to in the other thread. It's obviously a big blow for the team. More importantly it's really hard for AC, who is a great, great kid, who just oozes talent. We have no one else like him on the roster. No team would.
He is tough though. I'm hopeful we will see him dazzling the lacrosse world again.

It's a long season. We are just entering week two of preseason.
AC is a great player and you would love to have him. But he's hurt and not playing. It's still a team game and we have plenty of talent. He can't be replaced by a single player, but he can be by a team. And that's their mind set. The kids will rally. Just need to keep working.

So long as this team plays every minute of every game, the way that they can (but didn't do each of the last 2 seasons), they'll get there and then some even with Adam. Final 4 would be a longshot now, for sure, but nonetheless this team/program is absolutely loaded right now.

Guys, lacrosse is a full contact sport. It's physical. Injuries for every team are a part of the game. It really sucks because AC already went through this, did everything right, and got injured again. He is a unique talent that will be missed.
But he will likely not be the only player that gets hurt this season for us. If he is, we got off easy.

Well, that really sucks, feel horrible for the kid. But if he wants he definitely qualifies for a 6th year.
Well ... RU has lost this year to Nebraska in FB, WBB, MBB, WVB, Wrestling, Soccer and Gymnastics ... at least RU tied in W Soccer!
I will promise you we won't lose to them in Men's Lacrosse.
On another bright side RU didn’t lose to Nebraska in Field Hockey (no game), and won’t lose in Lacrosee (no team) or W Lacrosse (no team).
