It'll also mark the first time we've ever had a president for whom running around in circles and crashing a lot accurately describes both his administration and his cult-worshipers.

    WRONG.

They can all blindly and mindlessly vote for their lord and savior, which is no doubt what will happen. If Dems turn out their voters in at least the percentages of these zombies, Dems win. Far from guaranteed, but that’s what is needed.

Perhaps. But condescending snobby stereotyping is pretty much an hourly event around here and there aren't many of us, on all political sides or the middle, who aren't guilty of it . Including me.

To be fair, and to your credit, I have to say that it's pretty rare for you to be condescendingly snobby in your stereotyping, though. I may be a total douchebag. But at least I pay attention to who does what here. LOL

Walmart is a venue of last resort for me. Only when I can’t find something anywhere else. Depressing place. Not sure who looks more inbred, the employees or the shoppers.

I liked NASAR but lost interest with the retirements of Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart. If I watch now I root for NJ's Martin Truex.

I hear Trump was a big fan of Dick Trickle

True, the rumors are that Trump is a big fan of dick, as are most of his supporters - not that there's anything wrong with that.

Although I greatly respect NASCAR driver's skill, because it's a hell of a lot harder than it seems most people realize, I never much enjoyed watching it. Fun and brave to do. Not so exciting for me to watch.

I am a huge fan of Formula One and Sports Car Endurance Racing (e.g. 24 Hours of Le Mans), particularly the LMP1 (aka DPi), and LMP2 classes. I will sometimes stay awake through most of an evening watching 24 hour race coverage, especially now that one can tune into several different streaming feeds from various perspectives.

And I like Indy Car (when at tracks that aren't ovals), and various other non-oval racing series.

I really don’t understand this kind of talk.
It makes me sad and it’s 100% opposite of what I try to teach my kids, and opposite of what my dad taught me.

I think Americans are great. I also think ordinary people pretty much everywhere on the planet are great. Individually. I love individual people a whole lot, and for lots and lots of good reasons. Far more good than bad, when we're talking individuals everywhere.

The problem starts when large groups form entirely around the idea that their group is so much better than other groups. Or when large groups form around the idea that other groups, defined only by their race, religion, gender or harmless sexual preferences, or even political or ideological affiliation suck.

So I disagree w/our friend, @bossnj1, that people who shop at Walmart or people who love NASCAR suck. But I also suspect that he doesn't really think they all suck.

I suspect he simply thinks there may be a larger ratio of not-quite-so-brilliant people to truly brilliant people at such events, as compared to what one might find at a Physics symposium at MIT, for instance.

And I bet you wouldn't argue that point.

What was amazing about my dad was he treated the Physics genius and the millionaire corporate CEO exactly like he treated the landscaper and the dry cleaner.
And he did it without knowing it or thinking about it.

I’m not immune from noticing people though.
I mean if I walked into a restaurant at the Jersey Shore with my preppy friends and it was filled with typical stereotypes from the show Jersey Shore, Id certainly notice.:)

Closest Costco and Wal Mart are Bayonne. Which is too far. I haven't set foot in Wal Mart in ages. Target yes.
