Let me start by saying today's practice was hot. This Orange Gatorade I am drinking right now may be the best drink I have ever had. Anthony Cioffi told me afterward that this is easily the hottest of his three training camps. However, the team is persevering through it nicely as it looks to have come to camp in very good shape...Kyle Federico had a bounce back day, going 4 of 4 including a 50-yarder that earned the team wings tonight as promised by Flood...Robert Martin also returned to practice today and Flood is encouraged by his process...Flood also admitted that he has a very close QB race on his hands. He is not certain yet when a decision will come, could be before or after Saturday's scrimmage. He said the offense installed some things today and he wants to see how each guy handles it. Both QBs had good and bad moments today, nothing to really push either one ahead in the race...Flood also seemed a little more open minded when talking about the possibility of more than one QB playing this season...Kaiwan Lewis is also playing with the first team as the starting middle linebacker now...Isaiah Johnson is still getting reps but Flood has liked what he has seen out of Lewis thus far...Players who caught my eye - Anthony Cioffi, Carlton Agudosi, JPO...Jonah Jackson has also been playing center while Zach Venesky is lining up at left guard next to Jackson...I wouldn't expect either to play this year but that is an early look at the potential future...more to come.
