You are listening to the Wisky specific station....KY has one too and there is a regular broadcast that is impartial
The foul on the dekker drive was questionable too. Harridon's hsnds were straight up. Refs were pretty bad all around

I get this on ESPN down here. Who was doing the color commentary who was so critical of the calls? I kind of liked that guy.
Bottom line - the refs were atrocious both ways in the last portion of the game. Id much rather either team win on their plays and not ref calls.
And I've said this before...it is ridiculous the way they set random plays to be reviewable and not others. There's no reason the refs shouldnt be able to go back and see that there was a shot clock violation before wisconsin scored.

I think from watching him talk after the RU loss he might actually be. I think he generally comes off as very arrogant.
College BB rules are a joke- You can review a flagrant foul, if the shot is a 2 or a 3, who last touched the ball before it goes out of bounds- but can not review a shot clock violation unless inside 2 minutes of each half or a goaltending call ever. There were 8,147 score plays in D-1 football last year- 675 overturned to include the one where te Old Miss player broke his leg at the goaline and fumbled into the end zone and Auburn recovered and won the game. They review the placement of the ball- Why cant BB coaches have a challenge each half??

This - I generally don't talk about the refs, but they were horrid both ways. I don't know who got the worst of it, but it was pretty bad both ways.
That was a foul on decker. Body contact refs tried to win the game for KY. They missed one call Wisky way in shot clock

Twitter was ablaze last night by clueless clowns that ended up on TNT or True TV and were listening to either the Wisconsin "favored" broadcast (sponsored by Bleacher Report) or the Kentucky "favored" broadcast (sponsored by Bleacher Report and complained about biased announcers...as most of those doing that had no clue that TBS had the "national" broadcast with Jim Name, Hill Rafferty.
Funny stuff...just more proof people are stupid.
PS. CBS/Turner National crews have pointed out more than a few times mistakes made by refs during the tourn...which is refreshing...as one wonders the pressure NCAA has on them in giving them the new 10 year TV contract agreement.

My major problem with college BB is the ref'ing. The sport can be very exciting but virtually every close game is a candidate to be determined by the refs. Charge vs defensive foul is so arbitrary in a lot of these games. Half the time phantom defensive calls are called and half the time contact is permitted. Some teams are allowed very active hands on dribble penetration and other teams get called for the same thing that was allowed by another team.
It's very confusing and frustrating unless you root for a team that traditionally gets all the calls.

The refs were bad but the game is so fast it is tough to tell when a guy gets ball or a forearm. It seems 95% of the time when a guy drives and there is contact he gets the call, even if he inititated the contact. I would allow more body contact by defenders as there are too many fouls. I was amazed they did not assess at technical when the Kentucky player wacked the W player in the face. Even the announcers were shocked and said the point of flagrant techicals is to deter the type of behavior and there needs to be a penalty. Botching that call when there was video review is enough for me to not allow any of those refs to work the final. Sorry, but I would question their integrety because they have to know you are not allowed to intentionally whack someone in the face.
The Wisconsin-Arizona game was even worse. Said to my wife yesterday that the refs would play a big part in the 2nd half, especially in any attempt to preserve the pathway for UK to an undefeated season. UK blew it even with the refs as their 6th man. Gasser gets karate chopped across the jaw by Leslie and no call?
The better team prevailed.
And anyone that thinks Coach Ryan is a dick don't know Bo. The guy is first class. His players are first class We'd kill to have that type of BB coach and student athletes.
