White for away with red for the #'s and RUTGERS (in black trim)

Block #'s

And I'm good

Already in route. Got shipped to Landers University by mistake. They tweeted it out the other day

We had a game last year where one of our players had 3 different sneakers on during the game. My kids notice these things. Hopefully once games and the season starts attention doesn't get paid too much what sneakers we are wearing.

I think they look great, but they'd probably be too expensive for me to actually buy

Corey often wore low tops in the first half, then mid-tops in the second. There were some instances where he'd change out of the low's during the first half also.

Useless information, but always caught my eye. The low's were all black and the mids were all bright red.

That's good because kids don't want to be locked in to wearing one shoe these days.

These are both existing shoes, not Rutgers specific. The first are Harden 1s and are on sale for 139 at Footlocker. The second are Dame 2s (for Damian Lillard). They are an older style, but I see them on sale new for about $75, although in limited sizes. Maybe these are what is being supplied for this season, while they design more team-specific apparel.

I am sure they will have access to far more than these two models.

The teams are going to get more gear than they have ever had, which is a great thing. Would have liked to see us have stayed with Nike under a similar arrangment, but they came in way light. Happy UA was never a player. Their stuff sucks.

They can't wear other brands. It would be a violation of the contract.

Even in Olympic sports, partner companies look for violations and send letters.

A hoops player wearing Nike's next season would be an autoflag. And probably a fine. Simply doesn't happen at this level.

These kids LIVE for sneakers...It's easy to get caught up in with the new levels of exclusivity and the world of special/limited editions.

From a basketball point of view, adidas doesn't have anywhere near the sort of cache with the on court product that Nike does...Their strong points are the lifestyle/casual wear lines they market.

I know I was bummed to learn of the change from Nike. No more rocking the newest Foams or KD styles with going "against the grain"...Hey, at least it will save me a ton of dough!

Nike was gyping us big time. Adidas will give us much more product and more $. It was worth the move.

Didn't say it wasn't a good move from a University standpoint...

im talking about the personal preferences of the players, and the basketball culture in general. Nike will always be king, despite how their stock performs or how they treated RU. Michael Jordan made sure of that

Among the many problems with the NCAA.

No sneaker contracts should EVER be allowed. the sport would be better off with advertisements on the back of jerseys than sneaker companies ruling things.

The first pair are hardens signature shoes. Which i love. Some of the other color schemes are fantastic.

No idea what the second pair is.

Shoe companies pay part of the head coach's salary too.

Like how much?

I suppose it is easy for me to say it is messed up that sneaker companies rule things, but when you do a deeper dive in to things......

The state of NJ is an absolute mess financially........
The state of NJ is REALLY, REALLY an absolute mess financially....
With really no solutions that are feasible that wouldn't really hurt many people......
While the state directly funds Rutgers University.........
Which means it indirectly supports athletics.
