Unofficial Visitor: 2018 G Wynston Tabbs

I'm glad that we are more active than the past regime

This staff is working their assess off. Lets hope it pay dividends. We have too much empty roster space and scoring that was lost lately.

Keep it up pike.

Hopefully I'll speak to Wynston Tabbs tonight or tomorrow night. He has picked up quite a few offers since his unofficial visit to Rutgers. He is a three-star prospect ranked No. 130 in the Rivals150 for the 2018 class. He was unranked until our recent update a few weeks ago. His profile with his list of offers is HERE

Russ I gotta say you are a huge asset to this board. Keep posting the news its greatly appreciated.

Tabbs hmu tonight and we talked for just over ten minutes.

Btw, he started the Nike EYBL season with Team Takeover but switched to Team Melo for the second live period in April. Through eight games he is averaging 12.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while playing 17,4 minutes per game.

Schools that are setting themselves apart from the rest are Penn State, Rutgers, LaSalle and Virginia.

He spoke to Penn State today actually.

On Rutgers he said this about his recent visit:

"It went great they showed me their basketball facilities, their academic facilities. I didn’t have as much time as I would like because I had a game that day so I didn’t see the whole campus but they showed me a lot. The daily schedule, the workout plan, they even went over the nutritional part, the meal plan and just what everyday life would be like."

He hears from Coach Young the most.

Btw, Rutgers is recruiting him as a point guard and that is important to him because that is the position he feels best suited for at the next level. Not all of the schools are recruiting him as a point guard. Penn State is.

Also, he said something I thought you guys would really like. “Any program can turn around at anytime for real, and I'd just like to be part of the turn around.”

That was his answer to my question about Penn State being known as a football school and not so much a basketball school and not being in the tournament. But you he could also have easily said that about Rutgers.
