Up to 9 seed - 7 feasible

Now, we're all alone in 9th place. It's a beautiful thing. Now let's hope Illinois loses to Northwestern, although I doubt it. But hey, you never know.

PSU has been playing well, as have we. Should be a battle. But as the coaches and BTN announcers have said. On any given nite anyone in this league can beat anyone. Need to stay focused and confident. Go RU

Guaranteed end of the last place finishes - check!

Nebraska needs to win at Michigan State and against Iowa at home to catch us at 7 wins. Actually, that would be good for us as we'd get an extra 1-0 in the tiebreaker group but I don't think that's going to happen.

Penn State (5 wins) has us and Illinois.

Illinois (6 wins) has Northwestern tomorrow (an upset would be nice!), then play Indiana before ending vs. Penn State.

Indiana (6 wins) has Illinois and us.

Minnesota (8 wins) has Purdue and at Maryland.

Ohio State (8 wins) has Northwestern and Wisconsin.

Getting at least one more win is critical for our seeding because the tiebreakers are bad for us. We only have a head to head edge if Nebraska is in a tie with us. We don't have the best league win when compared to all of these other teams so we lose tiebreakers to any of these teams without Nebraska in the mix. We cannot finish tied with Indiana or PSU if we sweep either/both of them.

Correcting myself - I forgot that in a three way tie scenario, other teams in the tie could be 1-0 or 2-0 against one another. Example, Minnesota is 0-1 vs Ohio State so if the three of us finish tied, Ohio State wins tiebreaker (2-1), we're second (2-2), and Minnesota third (1-2).

Flip side - Minnesota is 1-0 against Indiana, so if our three teams finish tied (only possible if we lose to Indiana next week), then we still beat Indiana in the three way tiebreak.

Ahh screw it - just win the next two!
