No updates that I've seen. Don't think any of it has really progressed beyond conceptual planning so it's still a few years off. Perhaps also waiting for funding to be allocated for the projects.
Someone posted in a thread on the football forum that a couple of precursor steps to eventually moving forward are being undertaken including decommissioning of existing facilities (e.g. utility plant, Records Hall) slated for demolition being located in the path of the redevelopment.
The Dec. 2019 edition of the Status of Significant Projects report from Univ Facilities & Capital Planning does not list any projects associated with the CAC redevelopment plan so my guess is that it's not quite on the radar. Not sure if the report from last December linked below is the latest or if another one came out just prior to, or anytime since, the pandemic started.
That’s a shame. This is the most important project to me for the entire campuses perception. By removing those buildings and matching the new ones to the existing architecture will do wonders for the esthetics and function of the university. A large college green from college ave to the river would officially end the “Rutgers is an ugly campus” complaint
Many of our recruits, both boys and girls, including kids from all over the country and other countries mention how beautiful the Piscataway/New Brunswick campus is.
