beaten down fans of football are looking towards men's basketball for some relief. We all know how painful this has been the last decade or so, but we can finally say, "Thank goodness for basketball"!

I know many will say not to get too excited, but winning the first four games and having a real possibility of running the streak even longer is refreshing. At least we see a team that appears to have a real plan out there and is executing it.

It has usually been the opposite. Coming off a bowl appearance and having to face lousy BB.

Some here will say to post this on the BB board, but I understand why you are posting it here. It's a breath of fresh air and something positive to look at after the football woes. Although early, this team is a pleasure to watch once again. I figure them for a 500 team this year, but who knows if they gel quicker we could get a nice surprise and a post season bid. Everything points to the Miami game to get a barometer measure on this team. Good job Coach Pike! Keep it going.

I need to recheck my priorities, as this miserable season has affected my mood. So many good things to be thankful for and I let this bother me lol.

My new boss sucks too lol.

It's been many years since I've been even cautiously optimistic about the MBB season. Go RU!
