Very Sad News to Report from Rutgers Wrestling

In case you have not heard Sam Cali, a freshman on the team, died in a traffic accident last night.

Very sad day for the Athletics department and Rutgers Wrestling, Please keep his family and teammates in your thoughts and prayers.

This is not confirmed, but could likely be the accident. Very close to the Bosco area. Two accident victims found.

Oh My - I knew of Sam as his brother went to Seton Hall Prep with my son - they wrestled together and Sam was a freshman when my son was a senior. Sam later transferred to Don Bosco. Great kid and a very nice family. While these stories are always sad this one hits me personally.

I am still in shock from the news. I coached youth football with Sam's dad here in Montville and Sam was on our team. I found out earlier today from my son who got the news.
