Watch Tango's first video of this thread. Start at the 1:18 point, watch the play McConnell makes on defense. He comes out aggressively but totally under control, does not go for the fake, moves his feet and strips the ball leading to a break. This is why I think Caleb can contribute here, his basketball IQ and coachability.
I think my favorite play of the game was when Thiam took the pass on the left wing from Baker, faked a three, drove toward the hoop and then dished to Harper for the easy dunk. That play right there shows the kind of player Thiam is becoming, and it was a thing of beauty.
I think it’s safe to say that the days of mid-major and small conference teams coming in, and being more athletic than us, are finally over!
Consider this - Three years from now Mathis, Harper Jr., and Johnson will still be playing at Rutgers. And Mulcahy will be a junior.
