Ashnault didn't taunt. He responded to the idiotic and classless comments by the Princeton coach. I loved Anthony letting the Princeton bench know the score. Ain't bragging if you can back it up.

AA was obviously jacked up by that super huge win. Someone says he was taunting, most say he wasn't. My thought is that his actions were close to being called for unsportsman like conduct. Responding to the Princeton coaches could have cost RU the match.

I was pleased to see Ayres give him a big smile in return. It was all good. Glad the refs didn't insert themselves. I was definitely nervous there.

Also, Ayres is catching a lot of crap here, and I don't really know why. He is a classy guy. If you saw his follow up video to his comments you may feel differently.

I'm a huge AA fan and was thrilled with the Rutgers win. But yeah, you couldn't invent a clearer case of taunting. A kid yelling and gesturing at the opposing coach while the match was still going on? LOL. To Ayres' credit, I think it wasn't flagged in large part because he handled it with class in the moment and didn't force the referee's hand.

All in all, it didn't look at all like a low-class move, given the history over the prior week. Everybody knows that AA is a great kid, and in this sport, emotion often drives the incredible efforts required to succeed.

What an exciting match, way to go, Rutgers!

I enjoyed watching Donnie P mic'd up on flowrestling. The camera focused on the sideline and it was awesome getting that view.

OT, but didn't want a new thread for some Twerp guy.

I just bought my tickets for Atlantic City. A bunch of my friends (and high school wrestling teammates) are coming up. They are fascinated that New Jersey has a single tournament for all schools, big and small, public and private. Looking forward to it! We are on the fifty yard line, but in the upper deck (in most years I've ended up in lower deck end zone seats, great view of one mat but lousy of the others)...

Pa has 2 separate tournaments, one for smaller High schools , one for larger.
Some our better wrestling programs, like Paulsboro, are small schools.
I like our format much better.. Pa does have a lot more high schools though.
