The headliner tomorrow is the
#248 player in the class of 2016 from Michigan DE Khalid Kareem. I’m told that
Kareem and his family is impressed with the academics at Rutgers.
From Grand Street Campus in NYC 2015 DT signee Ahmad Bah, 2016 WR who was on campus with Mack for the junior day also makes the trip. Bah played last season at Holy Cross in NYC and in an average year at the WR position in the area I think he would have an offer already.
Middletown South NJ 2016 OL
Thomas Lopez will be back on campus. Lopez is on the cusp of earning an offer
from Rutgers but is receiving interest from a variety of schools in the region.
At Quarterback, a name to
keep an eye on is 2016 Barringer NJ transfer Shamir White who will play for
Depaul next season. White played football for the first time last fall and
opened a lot of college coaches eyes. He has bulked up to 200 pounds and has
spent his off season improving his technique alongside Madei Williams who also
works with Rutgers commit Mike Dare
From Pope John,
junior OL Sam Howson (no profile yet) and
sophomore DL Dalyn Wade-Perry will
be visiting. Howson, who starred at Roman Oben's showcase highlighted on
NJVarsity.com, projects as a center prospect but has the athleticism and size
to possibly stay at tackle. Wade-Perry is a BCS prospect and could
walk away from campus with an RU offer.
Lastly, NJ LB
Solomon Manning of Colonia will be back on campus after not being able to visit
Friday. Manning being told that he’ll need to run a fast time during the camp
season to earn an offer. I just saw Manning win the LB MVP at the National
Underclassmen Combine’s 5 star camp last Saturday.
