Wearing my Rutgers Hoodie...must have had 4 different guys just stop and start up a convo about Rutgers and how happy and impressed they were that Rutgers is getting back. Really nice things to say about team and coach. One guy said "all of Long Island is rooting for Rutgers"...funny to hear.

FWIW they were all Nova people.

Most also shared the view that it just wasn't the same tourney with the new Big East vs. what it used to be. And I agree. Really just didn't have the vibe at all. But the folks from Nebraska and Cincinnati seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Actually meet a very beautiful and sweet young lady from Creighton who is friends with Gregory Echinique (sp). You know they're from the Mid-West when they aren't afraid say hi and chat. She heard my son mention where Creighton was from and she came over to chat with me..

Made for a very enjoyable night. Looking forward to our Tourney there next year.

Pereception around our bball program definitely is heading towards the right direction. The next few years of recruits will be HUGE on the long term of the program.

Good to hear, glad you had a good time.

It's definitely not he same Tourney with the new Big East. I think it's much better. Attendance at this year's Tournament was very strong. All but a few games were very exciting. 7 Teams from the New Big East made the NCAAs this year so you cannot diminish the level of talent in the Big East Tourney this year. It's hard to imagine Nova fans demeaning the new Big East Tournament given the fact that it played two extraordinary exciting games with SHU that were settled in the final seconds of the game.

Gotta agree with 1984. Butler, Creighton and Xavier just doesn't have the same pizzazz as Syracuse, UConn and Pitt.

Who sid the teamsweren't talented?
Who's taking about attendance? Did I say the place was empty?
And if you think that Nova-SHU semi final was a quality game and exciting..ok. Nuff said. The 4 Nova guys sitting right behind us were trashing the game the whole night given they saw Nova score 100+ the night before. Shooting % from field and line was horrible for both teams.
