Checked Washington State stat sheet. So much for Mike Leach not punting. Wazoo punted twice, one for 50 yards and one for 54 yards. 4 kick offs -- no touch backs. Janarion Grant should get some chances in the kicking game. Wazoo had one field goal blocked.

great information. Thanks for posting.

The Kick return unit could change the game this week. This WSU team is coming in here thinking their loss to portland state could have been a fluke, so if we punch them in the mouth from the get go on special teams we could destroy their mindset.
Stats show we are an elite special teams program. Time for that unit to step up and win us a game.

We actually punted three times. One got blocked. As mentioned above, we also had a field goal blocked so, yes, your special teams guys must be licking their chops about now.

Leach will go for it on fourth down more than any other coach that I know of. Almost regardless of field position so don't be shocked if he does so on the far side of the fifty.

p.s. It's Wazzu, not Wazzou. We leave the ou ending to the folks in Missouri.

Noticed a lot of coaches going for it on 4th this first weekend. That trend is becoming real.
