Not going to be an easy one. Pretty athletic team with good size.

Hard to read EMU because Drexel is picked to finish near the bottom of the CAA. Perhaps it was early season jitters. Still, Drexel gave them a good game. The final score was 66-62.

EMU got out on the fastbreak and got some easy buckets, while I was impressed with Drexel's halfcourt offense against EMU's 2-3 zone.

66-62 win over Drexel picked near the bottom of the CAA is not an impressive win
It's not. And that game concerned me, as they are actually ranked higher than us on Kenpom. Pretty great to get video of them playing against a team we play this weekend. Good tool.

Eastern plays a matchup zone which is always tough to play against and prepare for when you don’t have a lot of prep time . Key is to keep the ball moving and don’t become stagnant . It’s better to use your man stuff against it because there isn’t as much hedging against screens and if they do drive and kicks r open . Teams have tendency to become passive against matchup zones and then end up taking a lot of one one one shots late in shot clock

Yea, they looked pretty good early when I posted but really not too impressive overall. The big guy can be a handful and like I said they have some athletes but were kind of sloppy.

Sounds like this year's team is a better matchup

I don't understand how EMU gets away with playing 4 non division-1 games this year as part of their schedule, Rochester College, Goshen, Central St OH, and Siena Heights, 3 NAIA schools and a d-2 school. Guess they never want to go to the NCAA tournament, last bid 1998. They regularly schedule multiple non division-1 games every year.

It's getting harder for mid-majors and low-majors to schedule. If they get in it would probably be an auto-bid
