The key to that defense was it's experience, many of those defensive players played 3 years or so and were in the system for 4 or 5 previously. They had experienced upper classmen at all levels of the defense and the backups were not newbies. It allows the DC to be aggressive with the scheme. A year earlier, RU 's defense gave up 56 points to UL and could not stop a nose bleed all year. Similarly in 2012 , RU had a very experienced defense. Not so this year, so you can bet there will be some struggles and mistakes and limits what the DC can do.
