Weight room

I took this photo Friday night at the Hale Center.

The floor of the weight room was uneven & had to be totally redone which set the timeline back about 3 weeks. They are just laying the carpeting now. Expectation is that it will be done by the end of the month/first week in July.

Somewhat related, but Grant was squatting 405 on snapchat today like it was nothing.

Still looks like an office in there...did it really cost over a million dollars for new carpet and weights?

It sure doesn't go as far as it use to. I know Penn State spent a little over $1 million for new flooring, equipment, some audio visual equipment and some branding. Add in the leveling of the floor and it can see why it would cost over a million and a half at Rutgers for a similar remodel.

Sounds like the floor leveling was not part of the original plan. They discovered problems with the concrete once they started the renovation.

A million and a half in Jersey after the union pay offs and taxes, I'm wondering how much actually went into the building.

They shoulda just poured that liquid leveling stuff on the floor like the guy who did my basement. Instant savings and the bumps are slightly less noticeable.

Damn...
Mrs. Screw delivering like none other.

here's a few more photos I took Friday night in the team room and the locker room.

Nothing like good old unions to do the job. My friggin company with 5 masons, 3 labors and a transit could lay a level concrete floor. I hope it was just shotty workmanship and not that the footings are settling.
