Well, they report tomorrow, did Barnwell make it?

I hope so, would be huge to have him out on the field

If he is there does it really tell the final story? I thought he could practice until the final decision is made?

He will be there but it means nothing about qualifying or not. We shouldn't get our hopes up.

Correct. He is allowed to practice until he is officially declared ineligible, if and when that happens. He reportedly is taking a summer class which ends next week.

Flood has already stated that Barnwell will be allowed to practice. He will know closer to the semester start if he actually becomes eligible.

I thought Flood said he would comment on it and know about Barnwell when they reported, didn't realize it may still take time to resolve.

Don't know for sure, but I'd bet the staff already knows his status. Coaches and football academic advisors still communicate with summer school teachers don't they?
Back in the day, summer school to stay eligible was a rubber stamp...things have changed.

I don't usually do this, but have seen this misspelled a ton lately. It's "bated breath." Interesting little story behind the usage...

Didn't we discuss the other day it's against board rules to bait posters over grammatical and spelling errors ? And to do it over the use of baited vs bated in a sentence seems even more egregious. lol

Still not sure what the title of this entire thread means either.

I don't think they will officially know about Barnwell until after Aug 12th when the summer semester ends.

Anyone know what grade he needs in his class? I know we're not UNC, but there are enough easy classes for 1 to take in the summer to get an B+/A.

Easiest class to take at Rutgers was Linguistics: Introduction to the Study of Language. 20 out of 22 students got an A. I took it to fulfill a non Western requirement. The tests were open book. I sometimes wonder what those 2 people were doing.

They should definitely have a sense.

The rest of us will find out closer to opening day.

Hope Barnwell gets his grades in order and keeps his eligibility.

Summer school grades must be in by (4pm?) August 14th. Assuming he is in a class in the second summer session we won't know for over a week.

I'm sorry. Perhaps I should ban myself for becoming such a master baiter...
