We're pretty good

We need to guard better. That was awful defense. FSU guards got whatever they wanted

Getting better.
The scrappy play is awesome - energy level is good.

No matter how this game ends in the last few minutes, I'm impressed.

I'm disappointed, mainly by how badly Corey has gotten abused on defense in the 2nd half. Can't get too bent out of shape by Thiam & Geo looking like freshman, but Mike Williams looked like one, too.

Nonetheless, there are a lot of positives.

Yeah, Sanders leaving his man Walker and letting him get the ball when he was their only offense was maddening. Team needs to recognize Walker was IT for them and deny him the ball at all costs. But Oumoruyi was impressive. Very impressive. Used to be we had no chance against big athletic teams if we didn't hit lots of threes. With Freeman and Oumoruyi that isn't the case.

Florida state"s length and athleticism the difference. Obiagi dominant and so was Walker. Freeman's leg injury hurt and Corey , Thiam and Geo provided little offense,,,,Not the best effort but clearly a much better team, especially Omiruyi.

Need to defend better in the first half to avoid foul trouble. Tough for our guards to play tight d with 4 fouls

A more complete team game wins this for RU. At the end of the day the team with alot more talent won the game. I am impressed that RU didn't fold and fought and even more impressed FSU on the road held them off each time. FSU seems like Last 4 In/Out kind of team.

I'd rather Thiam not look like a freshman as he is a sophomore.

It's crazy Omoruyi has only been playing basketball 3 years and he was a late August find in the class of '16 unlimited potential, give that person a raise that found him

FS made some big shorts. The defense was in good position. Walker just had a good night, many teams will have an issue with him.

He looks really good. Big, strong, athletic. If he develops a shot he has a chance to be an absolute stud.

Frustrating that Thiam passes up so many open looks.

Even with the loss there were defensive breakdowns that can be fixed. I didn’t see the stat line but the free throws didn’t look too bad. I think FSU outhustled us on the glass a little too much.

Frustrating that two vet players take so many awful looks and can't finish then cry for the next 10 seconds to the refs and let walker score 22 points in a half. Step it up or get replaced by the younger guys who don't have their head up their own ass.

Corey little offense? Did you watch the game? Read the box score?

Geo and Williams were absent.

The difference in the game was that Florida State made 10 points off of fast breaks and Rutgers couldn't stop numbers 00 and 2 in the second half.Florida State was a very poised team playing in front of a hostile crowd and their passing and dribble drives were well executed.Rutgers got good scoring performances from Sanders,Williams and Omoruyi but Baker,Williams and Thiam didn't score enough points to put Rutgers in a position to win the game.

The crowd was loud and into the game from start to finish. It was a great night to be at the RAC to watch a very competitive college basketball game. This game was a reality check for the team and fans as to how difficult it will be to win upcoming games against Seton Hall and B1G rivals. There is no margin for error.

Eddie Jordan would have lost this game by 30 so I am just happy to be a part of college basketball at the RAC again, real ball. We will beat someone (or two) who we “shouldn’t” this year ... need to keep the momentum rolling

corey - 7 of 17, 4 turnovers

freeman - 5 of 18

You can blame Corey’s second half on Souf’s total inability to give us any quality minutes. Corey cannot play 36 minutes against a team that plays relentless full court defense. Our lack of depth at guard, especially with Baker in foul trouble and Mike still not 100% is a problem. Souf looks like a wasted ship on a JUCO.
