The silence of the administration throughout has been notable.
I don't know if there was a response like this, but one thing a President can do is lead and display accountability from the top.
Please look at the following email I received this morning for an example of leadership in the face of bad behavior.
BTW, based upon what I believe and have read, I still support Kyle Flood as our head coach.

To the Case Western Reserve Community,
I am saddened to inform you that late last evening an unarmed Case Western Reserve security officer assaulted one of our graduate students on Bellflower Road between Ford Drive and Juniper Road. An investigation is ongoing, but so far it appears that the employee also verbally threatened students and was belligerent with other individuals both on Bellflower and Ford Drive.
Case Western Reserve EMS transported the graduate student to University Hospitals Case Medical Center (UHCMC), where he was treated and released. In addition, university police took the officer to UHCMC for evaluation after he became increasingly agitated.
I first want to express my profound apologies to the injured student and all others with whom this troubled employee interacted last night. As I have said many times, the safety of the Case Western Reserve community is our highest priority. To have anyone suffer intimidation or violence on our campus is terrible enough; to have the attacks come from an employee is truly awful.
We have turned over investigation of this case to the Cleveland Police Department. Our student affairs staff has met with the graduate student and is providing support to other students who saw the altercation. I also want to remind students that University Counseling Services provides counseling without an appointment Monday through Friday; in addition, an on-call counselor is available after hours at 216.368.5872.
I will update the campus community as additional information emerges. For now, let me emphasize our deep regret regarding this incident.
Sincerely,
Barbara R. Snyder
