He said he was cramping. In post game presser, Pike said Ace got tired.
Connor Noonan is reporting that Ace was disgusted with not getting more shots tonight and is entering the portal. 😉 😉Anyone know what happened Bailey left the court about 4 minutes to go and didn't return ?
He said he was cramping.
Nice handle Phil. Go back to the seton hall and Villanova board.Per Pike via Fonseca: Ace was cramping up !
There were a couple of defensive possessions in the second half where he didn't even pretend to try, presumably because he was gassed. It sucks that we can't get more minutes out of OgboleYou can make the argument that Somerville is the best conditioned freshman on the team. I haven’t seem any signs of him wearing down
Another guy who is both a doctor and knows more than the head coach.Pikiell rarely knows full story about players health updates in my memory of postgames. He appears clueless, and I think coaches don't overly concern themselves with the topic. Tom Thibs has similar reactions.
Truth is, Ace doesn't get messaged and not be able to shake hands because of cramps. It is something more serious.
I will say, as with any athlete that plays at a very high level, you need a fair amount of structure and strength. Ace is clearly very thin, and it is not healthy to be playing such a high impact game at his weight. For safety and longevity, he needs to put on some bulk and prioritize it. If not, he will have injuries. For right now, I think this will be potentially off and on until he figures out the right program.
Lathan plays fewer minutes than Dylan and Ace. Plays a role in it.You can make the argument that Somerville is the best conditioned freshman on the team. I haven’t seem any signs of him wearing down

Maybe because he sat out he was not in shape and that caused crampingDoesn't take a PhD to know that a player doesn't sit out for weeks straight because they have cramps.

Just a thought
I was watching Duke Vs Army game. Cooper Flagg was cramping. It happens.Possibly. Why did he not play first two games though? You play and practice to get into shape. Well see. If he is out next game, it is not cramping.
Yeah, but Ace missed first two games. Was that for cramping? I hope for the best and as he is young, I hope he prioritizes himself. I'd rather him out for a month than try to rush back and reinjure himself.I was watching Duke Vs Army game. Cooper Flagg was cramping. It happens.
No, it wasn't. allegedly for a hip issue.Yeah, but Ace missed first two games. Was that for cramping? I hope for the best and as he is young, I hope he prioritizes himself. I'd rather him out for a month than try to rush back and reinjure himself.

No offense, but they don't need to tell you or anyone what the injury is. Not sure why you want our coaches to give away info that could be used against us.Yeah, but Ace missed first two games. Absolutely. I have just been reading on here for weeks about people suspecting what his injury is. None of us really know. It is not a competitive answer for coaches to share either. No offense, but they don't need to tell you or anyone what the injury is. It's been reported as a hip injury. You could see him limping around during the Wagner game, and to a lesser extent the St Peters game.Absolutely. He had a hip flexor injury, that does not mean he did not deal with cramps against Monmouth.Yeah, but Ace missed first two games. Was that for cramping? I hope for the best and as he is young, I hope he prioritizes himself. I'd rather him out for a month than try to rush back and reinjure himself.

I'm sure Dylan is busting his balls about it everyday since...lolApparently, according to one report (from a fan sitting behind the bench, maybe?) , Bailey was offered, multiple times, Gatorade "tabs" - for quick hydration - while on the bench ... refused saying he was fine ... shortly afterwards he cramped.
18-year-olds know everything - no matter that they are stars, he is still just an 18-year-old ... who knows everything ... or think they do. He will learn.
I hope so!I'm sure Dylan is busting his balls about it everyday since...lol
Powerade my friend, PoweradeAce, drink some Gatorade!
