What? No Commits Today? Fire Schiano! Again!

This is all your fault: they ran out of money, where's your MIL check?

Uh-oh. Like all premature posts (no pun intended), Robbie Johnson has caused this thread to be, momentarily, no longer up to date.

Quick - hire Schiano back!

I'm back to thinking we fire GS. I mean, here it's already past 11am and no new commits today?

Shameful, that's what it is. Shameful.

Hey, Chris Ash is only working as a scout for the Jaguars, we could probably get him to come in and resume his head coaching duties. Summer's here, so we're really gonna need to be cognizant of player hydration.

Every square inch of NJ would be covered with the exploded brains of so many RUFB fans if that happened.

Once year when I was coaching a U13 girls soccer team at a very hot summer tournament, I stressed the importance of proper hydration to the team Friday night at the hotel. Explained to them that you know you're hydrated when your urine is mostly clear with very little yellow in it.

Girls that age tend to be exceedingly literal and so the next morning, I found the entire team in the hotel lobby with our water coolers and about 60 empty spring water bottles. We were late getting the first game started due to them having to keep running to bathroom during warmups.

Oops. 🤣

At least they played very well that day despite no shade at the fields, high humidity and temps in the high 90s.

Anyway, the moral of that story is that I support Chris Ash's stressing the importance of good hydration.

I’m sure his interview skills would come in handy.

Ooooh. Nice pun. 😀

There's an strong undertone being expressed in this thread.
As Plum would say, Ash is a consistency legend around here. There’s no other player, coach or other figure in Rutgers sports history who RU fans all agree on more. Have to appreciate the universal acknowledgement of his ineptitude. It’s epic.

He was not a good head coach. No arguing that.

I don’t hate him, though, like many seem to do. He tried and failed. Happens. I wish him well.

Hate him personally? No definitely not. I certainly don’t wish ill will on him or his family.

Hate what he did to Rutgers football, yes, absolutely. He didn’t just fail to make us competitive in the BIG. He made us a laughing stock of college football in general. We were easily one of the 5 worst FBS teams in the country under his leadership.
