What the heck happened to Oregon?

Chip left, Mariotta left, and the one year grad student qb left.

Chips recruits are disappearing.

Oregon is a member of that tier of CFB teams that can make a run at it every once in a while and have some good years where they are ranked up there with the elite, but they can't sustain that high wire act year in and year out. Even in those good years, they do it more by finesse than by depth and power (which take longer to build), so they have trouble when playing the more traditional non P12 powers and getting "out physicaled" (example: 0 for 9 lifetime vs. tOSU including the '10 Rose Bowl and the '15 NCG).

Oregon's HS football is weak. They need to recruit out of state talent like no other.

They have the facilities to do it
They just can't miss a year or two.

And it looks like they have.

(Hence why UCONN will always blow and we will always have next year; for eternity.)
