which QB starts the second half?

The announcers are talking that Coach Flood might be trying out Laviano in the second half to see what he can do.
In my opinion Rettig has nailed it and then some. No turnovers and a couple great drives, and running for it when he saw he could.
Unless if it was pre-planned to play each guy. I don't think Rutgers will lose this game so they can afford to experiment.
Sitting next to father of one of them and he says he does not even know the plan. That said plan is to announce season starter after today. So could make sense it is laviano
I would keep Rettig in as well, the one poster has a point lets see how Rettig and Carroo look together.
If for nothing else, no way Laviano should be starter after getting suspended. With the recent turmoil from arrests, suspensions and dismissals, Flood needs to establish discipline and control of the team. If Laviano was far more talented I could see bending a little but not if the competition with the QBs is as close as we think.
Gentlemen, any decent coach High School, College, or Pros with the half that Rettig had, limited by horrible play calling, should be the starter. But, I'll bet you right now that Laviano will go the second half. There is no question at this point, but Flood in his lack of wisdom will start Laviano.......
Agreed. It's 21-13 now and Rettig has played well. If we can get to 35-13 or so, then the backups can get more run.
I'll be disappointed if Rettig doesn't go back out there.
id give rettig until mid 3rd... then laviano. But this is Rutgers... so we'll give laviano the start

Whatever, I don't want to argue with people like you today, I'm trying to enjoy football. Laviano is on the sideline warming up and Rettig has no helmet, yet Flood says he still hasn't decided. Gotta keep that tactical advantage a minute before kickoff. Lol

Everyone here who actually knows football, will know what Flood did today. If I were Rettig, this makes emailgate, a joke. I have lost a lot of respect for Flood today. This was never a QB competition! Rettig must be looking at this second half play calling, and saying, What!

Agree, KofC- Chris L. was going to start the 2nd half, no matter what... Grant return, bailed out coach, as to score and replacing Rettig (in, a close game). And then the playbook, opens up with Carroo in game. Chris, maybe the better choice, I wouldn't know - but moves were obvious.

Laviano played against a worn down FCS team in the second half. FCS teams do not have the players or depth to play an entire game against a P5 team. Laviano playing fresh with a fresh Carroo in the second half against a worn down FCS team gave him an unfair advantage in the QB comparison. Flood's handling of the QB situation to date leaves much to argue about.
