There doesn't seem to be too many examples of this, which should tell you something.

More common in basketball, only CFB coach I can think of is Jimmy T and he got "fired" before serving the suspension.

Gary Barnett ( Colorado) suspended in '04 for insulting a female kicker , forced out in 2005 because of a recruiting scandal
that's the opnly one I could find that retiurned as HC

Wyoming head coach Dave Christensen was suspended a game in 2012 (http://trib.com/sports/college/wyom...cle_76c79275-339e-55f8-b335-29b4d0f4e7fe.html)

Baylor OC Kendall Briles was suspended for last Saturday's game (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...l-briles-tate-wallis-ncaa-penalties/72102282/)

Nevada head coach Brian Polian could face a suspension for his game behavior (http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-fo...ead-coach-brian-polian-for-berating-officials)

I really tells me that schools don't suspend coaches who should be suspended. Hey, you notice there's not a peep in the national media about the whole Art Briles - Sam Uwachu incident? Steve Sarkisian - was he suspended for his drunk tirade? Nope.

Not a peep?? The Sarkisian story went on for days nationally

Those schools are far more advanced in the PR game.

"But they did something worse! Therefore, we shouldn't have to be punished!"

Not sure anyone's saying that. The real question is why aren't other schools punishing their coaches? It's not as if they are being perfect angels. But somehow they just skate on by.

Oh here's one - Bobby Petrino was suspended by Arkansas before they fired him.

Does USC have a regulation against making an ass out of yourself or using the F bomb?
I'm sure there's a clause somewhere about conduct unbecoming a figurehead. Who's going to tell me that doesn't deserve a suspension?

Few other schools have hired coaches who are as bad at every aspect of their job as Rice and Flood...I can't think of one P5 that had two extra horrible coaches in both major sports as once.

Flood took his team to two bowl games in his first two seasons. Surely you can think of worse coaches.

You don't always have to be so dramatic.

Coaches who broke rules, had 7 players arrested in two weeks, and were- on their best day- mediocre?

Who?
