and Hobbs did an excellent job identifying Pikiell and getting the needed cash for assistants and support. No one has ever questioned that by the way

I like Hobbs. He crushed it with Pike who I say will go down as the greatest coach in Rutgers History. Statue worthy. All the soccer canddiates seem great.
Regardless of what you think of Ash hiring someone who was a DC in the SEC and under Urban Myer at OSU isn't a bad process decision. You can say we needed someone with head coaching experience but there are plenty of retreads with HC experience who are terrible

The ASH hire was a taking a chance on a guy with a great FB pedigree
but zero HC coaching experience

But football drives the bus, and Hobbs needs to get it right.Hoping Ash turns it around, but I just don't see it.Recruiting is the red flag,and if it doesn't happen next year, Hobbs needs to do the right thing.
It would be nice if we could leave the cesspool that is Rutgers Football on the other board. There is a real reason for optimism regarding basketball and it would be nice for this to be a safe haven from the football related vitriol.
