We need both Mag and Jeremiah. If JW gets his waiver to play, like Reid got after two transfers, our team improves dramatically with him and Mag. Ogbole would be a nice addition too.

I love Mag, but I don’t see how he can fix all these problems…..so many guys just look bad…..they also never win a battle for a 50/50 ball……Gavin is not ready to lead us on offense with 14 ppg yet, Cliff has no offense, Hyatt just chucks, Noah plays a lot of one-on-one also without really running any semblance of an offense (he scored tonight but would love to see him setting up teammates), 3 point shooting is streaky at best, defense is poor, they have no defensive rebounding to speak of other than when the ball hits them and they’re forced to rebound it, they lose the 50/50 ball battle, hustle is non existent at times, and they can only string together about 10-15 good minutes a game over a 40 minute game. Other than that, nothing to worry about.

We have to stop this. The team is what it is. Mag tore his acl, even when he’s confident to give it a go there will be weeks of rust. JW is better off being saved for next year. Ogbole was a project no other team pursued. They are not answers to this year’s woes.

There is no group of people who where the scarlet glasses worse than the bball insiders.
I didn’t think we’d be a tournament team. I’m no that dumb, but man they gave hope. And they were wildly off. The flaws are so obvious

That would help but right now we are 25% into the season and none of those guys are playing. We can only go off of what we have now. Pike really has to try and make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

That would help but right now we are almost 25% into the season and none of those guys are playing. We can only go off of what we have now. Pike really has to try and make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

This team lacks toughness. From all accounts we would get that from both Mag and JW, plus Ogbole’s size has to help, as a backup 5.

WF has to have renewed optimism now that Reid is back. They went 25% of the year without him and were 4-3. Now they are 5-3 just like us.

For all we know we could get all three of our guys back in time for SHU, or shortly thereafter.

Some of the weaknesses were evident at the open practice, particularly the part about us being a great shooting team. Pike is an optimist so everything he says pre-season should be ignored. But if you express some skepticism on this board pre-season, you get beat up.
