Who thinks we end of the regular season higher in the standings than Minnesota?

I know that a few of us have posted last week that we are not catching Minnesota in the standings, but I think this is worthy of discussion. They have not had as many road games this year as we have, and they have only won 1 road game. The remaining games they have are at Northwestern, home vs Purdue, and at Maryland. Not an easy schedule, and while our remaining games are not easy either, I prefer our schedule to theirs.

If we can make up the one game difference with them and tie them in the standings, with our 1-1 season split with Minnesota, what are the next tiebreakers?

In the path to a bye thread this was discussed and if just two teams to consider, the next criteria is best conference win. If more than two teams then its best head to head record amongst the teams tied.

Thanks. That two team tiebreaker hurts us, unless we beat Iowa and then Iowa can pass Minnesota’s best win, Wisconsin. That’s a long shot.

Minnesota should defeat Northwestern so I doubt this happens. If we should win our last 3 games it could happen but that would be very difficult.

If Minnesota does not win against NW, I think we will at least tie them in the standings.
