It doesn't look like they have a huge impact in games but they deceivingly disrupt the opposing offenses a lot. Our defense might take a hit when they leave.

Actually it looks like there are some young big guys on the roster so they can step it up.

Very interested in the progression of Julius Turner and hoping he's in the rotation next year.

We will miss both next year but the back 7 should be much improved considering everyone comes back with starting experience.

I think Hamilton had a good year in run defense. He'll be missed. JPO at times was a force as well.

50 tackles (only 19 solo) and half a sack on the season? Will he be missed? Sure, however, maybe not as much as we had expected earlier this season? We'll see.

50 tackles for a DT isn't bad at all. Remember their job is tying up blockers so LB's are free to make the plays. It's his pass rush that seems to have suffered since the injuries.

If I counted correctly Hamilton has more tackles this year in 11 games than he had in 13 games (45) in 2014. He had 10 vs UNM and 10 vs Indiana this year.

Well for DE we've heard good things about Elorm Lumor. He's been making huge strides for a freshman. I'm still holding out slim hope Turray gets his head in the game after being brain washed that he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I didn't say it was "bad," however, it's not great either and when you take into account the fact that he, essentially, didn't get into the backfield all season long, it just doesn't seem like - maybe - it's not going to be as difficult to replace him as we may have initially thought. Yes, injuries played a role, no question, but it is what it is.

I'm guessing that added poundage in the waist area that Hamilton is carrying around has something to do with his quickness.

Hamilton always looked a little too small (now he's a little paunchy trying to make up for it?). Plus being best player on a line full of anons is tough because you get all the spiced up blocking on you.

He had a disappointing year and no arguing that.
Hope Bateky can step up next year.

This might be the biggest fallacy in the football program. Unfortunately.

Both lines were expected to be strong points tithes year and I do not think either one was. Why? I do not know. Coaching? Talent? New scheme? Maybe all are the reasons. Could be different reasons for each player. Whatever the reasons were there will be no improvement in this team next year unless there is significant improvement on both the O and D lines. I do not care who we have in the skill positions it all starts up front.
