He now has to deal with teenage kids and recruiting and all the drama that comes with it. That would drive me nuts. Michigan must be paying him a boat load of money.

And that pros are even more of a pain in the ass than student athletes?
In the pros you pick who you want and pay them and the player is happy to come play for you. In college the high school kid wants to visit other schools or changes mind or wants instant playing time, that's a lot of drama to deal with. The NFL also has a very good retirement program I think.

I think every level of coaching has its pros and cons.
You really need a thick skin today to deal with all of the prima donnas that seem to be everywhere.
Coaching today is not what it used to be. Can you imagine Knute Rockne or Lombardi working the fields today?

Jim Harbaugh is like Billy Martin, Bobby Valentine, Buddy Ryan and a bunch of others who can come in and energize a team - but their act wears thin (quickly)- players get weary of it - professionals get tired of it even faster - and in college the players are cycled through faster - no 7-8-9-10 year veterans in the college ranks to get really fed up with some crazed hothead coach - college players are more mold-able.
