There are plenty of reasons to fire Flood and go a different direction when it comes to Football Coaches for next year, but, the cynic in mean thinks he will be back next year for the following reasons:

- Barchi not wanting to spend MONEY, people here think/know money is not an issue, but I am not convinced
- Even if they find a reason to fire Flood with cause and lower his buyout, where is the 5M+ coming from for a whole new staff?
- Flood will justify this year as a tough year with injuries & suspensions to his best players ( Carroo, Hamilton, James), decimated in the secondary due to legal issues, new young QB, new OC, tougher schedule and if he beats MD next week, will say he almost went 6-6 and took the team to a bowl game with all the distractions
- Next year, young secondary will have more experience, his young QB will have a year under his belt, give me more money for better assistants and the schedule is easier and if I don't take the team to a bowl game, you can get rid of me than

At the end of the day, I want him gone and start fresh with a new staff, but it's not going to happen. I just don't think Barchi cares and mediocrity is OK for him.
