Why Move Is Still a Win-Win for Rutgers and the Big Ten

"And it’s not as if Rutgers doesn’t have a football past, or that it can’t have a future. The Scarlet Knights had a decent run in football in the 2000s, peaking with an 11-2 campaign in 2006."

The writer, Marc Tracy, is a Columbia grad. What does a Columbia grad know about big time college football?

Can't argue with anything in this article.
My only complaint is the omission that Rutgers beat mighty Michigan just 2 years ago. Yes, it was a down year for them. Doesn't matter.

This is why you will never have a NCCA super football conference.

Geography means as much as on field success.

A conference of:
Michigan, Ohio St, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Florida, Fla St, Alabama, Notre Dame would lead to a lot of teams with 2 to 3 losses each year and no reach to NYC, Philly, DC, or SF. markets

Purdue and Northwestern are needed in the B10 like Vandy and Kentucky are needed in the SEC and a bunch of journeyman teams are needed in the ACC.
