Imagine Flood taking over a musty old Jesuit basketball school in the Bronx with a long forgotten football program and practically overnight going undefeated, winning titles and beating FBS teams.

I like coaches who can make something out of nothing and thats what Joe Moorehead has done. Not sure how he lasts at Fordham except that he played there and has ties

He is doing very well. But he but he didn't start with nothing. The rebirth of Fordham Football happened before he got there.

The Rams made the NCAA D1AA playoffs in 2007 and 2003.

Hopefully he gets them over the hump and deeper into the 1AA playoffs.

The rebirth of Rutgers football started before Flood took over and died shortly thereafter.

As a NYer I often see posts like this that remind me there is a Fordham...its very expensive,,,has a little history(very little), is decent but not outstanding academically, plays a low level of sports and is an afterthought to this NYer. If I was forced to attend a NYC Univ it would likely be NYU or Columbia......prob Columbia for the Ivy sports connection(I was a Cornell undergrad)

There is very little will or enthusiasm when it comes to sports at Fordham. Look at the bball team- based on location they should be one of the best midmajors in America and are in the best midmajor conference.

BC's football distinguishes it from the other Boston colleges. Fordham is really all about trying to get the people who want to be in NYC, but can't get into NYU or Columbia, which is a pretty big pool of qualified students.
