This will be quite the challenge for the ladies.
Princeton has an explosive offense, having scored 11, 16, 15, 20, 16, and 20 goals in its six games. The Tigers’ only loss was in their opening game 13-11 to #8 UVA. The Tigers rank 7th in the country in scoring 16.33 goals per game.
Rutgers will try and slow down the Tigers with ball control and defense. Katie Buck is third in the Big Ten and 15th nationally with 8.00 draw controls per game. Her 56 draw controls rank third in the conference.
Meanwhile, grad transfer GK Lexi Coldiron has been one of the top netminders in the country this season, leading the Big Ten in saves (77) and saves per game (11.00). Coldiron is also third in the country in save percentage (.570) and 15th in goals-against average (8.96).
Overall, Rutgers is tied for 12th in the country in scoring defense, giving up just 8.57 goals per game.
I don't expect a win but hoping the ladies can keep it close and only lose 14-10 or something respectable like that. The Tigers boat-raced a RANKED Harvard team last week 20-6, by the way.
