Women's LAX getting spanked

i dont think RU W lax was very good this year. We beat Ohio State but they actually weren't good either. The mens team on the other hand is Legit.
I see no spanking in that pic.
Maryland are monsters. They should win the National Championship this year.
Rutgers wasn't that great this year but they did win some important games and made it this far. They should be proud of that at least.

Women's LAX was supposed to have a down year, predicted to finish last in the Big Ten and go 0-5. Well, they finish with THREE Big Ten wins, their first postseason win in 20 years, and 2 ranked victories. Great for them! Maryland Lax = UConn WBB. Awesome year for RU!
Wow, it's sunny there. I'm jealous. 10 days of straight rain and I'm ready for a straight jacket.
Final score was 19-9 Maryland. So Rutgers lost the first half 17-3 and won the second half 6-2. Since each team won a half, we'll call it a draw.
What did you expect? We were 6-11 going in and Maryland is 17-0 and one of the best teams in the country.
It was in the low 50's yesterday, maybe 40's with the winds off Lake Michigan, fans were wearing winter coats!
Looks nice in that pic though, they are all wearing shorts and tee shirts, even the refs ! Hey, I can dream, can't I ? : - )
I didn't see get a chance to watch the RU ladies play but I just put the 2nd semi Northwestern v PSU on. The womens game is kind of brutal to watch. Between all the start and stops by the refs, the offense seems pretty boring. If they are 3-5 yards in front of the goal why don't they just shoot it? These girls have no protection on their hands or heads. An errant pass has got to hurt if you get hit in the head, not to mention taking an accidental stick to the face. I'm used to the men's game from having played. I've just never followed women's lax.
well they were 2-3 in the big like RU... 11-6 with 5 losses in a row. RU was 6-11. I think OSU padded their record with some soft opponents. Not sure they were deserving of a ranking.
Good season for the ladies..im just saying it wasn't expected of them to do well against maryland.
Absolutely not they're a freakin' machine.Going for national title #16 IIRC, undefeated no less, and nobody is going to stop them.
I'll take a look at the schedules next week. We lost a bunch of games to ranked teams, OOC, but we also lost 4-5 games we probably would have won now. 3 thoughts:
- we have some girls who know how to score one-on-one
- we apparently split time in the net, until recently, and that was probably a huge mistake. The young lady who beat OSU twice, and held Michigan to, what, 2 goals, has some nice talent and 2 more years to play.
- we are a turnover machine. 38th in the nation at nearly 13 per game. Not sure if that's due to having a young squad or not.
Do you think the relatively strong finish to the season and the fact she's an alum buys Laura at least another year or do you see Pat making a move?
She's under .500 in more than a decade on the job. Found it interesting that she's the only B1G coach who is not a Maryland alum.

I hope she does not get another year this team has done nothing with her as coach. We need a new coach who can turn this program around it is a train wreck
