I am wondering when they are going to announce the times for Friday's quarterfinal games; I also see on ScarletKnight.com on the Women's Soccer home page they are very confident because they have all the dates of the games listed in the Big ten championship and the first round of the NCAA's!!

I am assuming tomorrow since the Indiana v Michigan St game is tomorrow and will have seeding implications

Oh thanks I didn't realize there were still some games to be played; I thought everyone completed their season on Sunday

Also Wisky vs OSU tomorrow. Believe OSU could make the tourney with a win.

Lots of potential ties at the 7 - 10 spots so too early to say who we'll play. The men have a home game Sunday at 3PM so RU have to work around that.

We host the quarterfinal game on Sunday. The men also play at home. I was just commenting that the women's game time will have to take that into consideration.

And as for our opponent....if Indiana beats Mich St (which you would expect), then they're in 7th and we play them. If Indiana loses, there would be 4 teams with 11 points and all the secondary criteria would come into play.

I understand. Knew better, but was mistakenly thinking that 4 tourney games were being played at Yurcak. Was thinking how could they foul this up. My bad.

Yes, I think you're correct. If Indiana loses and Ohio St wins, they would move into 7th place and would be our opponent. It's a big ask of Ohio St- beating Wisconsin - but of course, anything can happen.

Rutgers Women's Soccer will host the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals at Yurcak Field on Sunday, November 3rd at 12pm.

Admission at Yurcak Field is FREE!

Indiana really packs it in. Plays 5 across the back line. Doesn't give up many goals nor score too many. Gives up fewer than it scores. We beat them 1-0 in the regular season at Yurcak. Game time is 12 noon on Sun. at Yurcak.

Outshot Indiana 16-4 so we didn't have any issues getting in and creating shot attempts, just need to hit the net!

I believe it was the game where Nneka shot on a pass off a free kick that was loose in the goal and LaPlant redirected it and the goal was awarded to Nneka. A game that Rutgers dominated in shots but as rudad02 stated went to OT.

That was it but watch the replay closer it hit off the back of the foot of the Indiana defender I think #18 or #19 but either way we won; If we keep playing the way we have been playing offensively since the second half of the Michigan game hopefully we can take car of business in regulation because once you get to overtime anything can happen; Any word on Shea Holland?

I like this as a 1st round match. Let them pack it in. Win 1-0 in regulation by keeping it in their end all day and saving our legs.

Believe it went in off LaPlant's foot. She told her folks after the game that it hit her foot. No way in God's green earth that that young lady would ever misrepresent that. Watch her reaction. Should have been her goal. She also slipped a ball to Nneka for an assiist one of our goals in the Minny game, for which she didn't get credit. Very clear on the video. Especially on the side view.

Have no idea on Shea Holland. She is important. We are much, much weaker at holding mid without her.

Yes, this is what I heard, if you watch you can see the shot is on the ground and then immediately redirects and goes directly into the air, LaPlant immediately raise her arms. In speaking with someone that communicated with her she said she redirected the ball and thought she had scored and started to celebrate and then saw everyone going over to Nneka so she went over to congratulate her. Either way, won the game, that's whats important!! Now go beat them again!!! I see the Big 10 All Stars have been selected I have some thoughts on that once posted. Really like Rutgers seed and position in the bracket their fate is their hands!! They are setup to battle in the final!!!!

Dominated the first half. Hoosiers own goal. Hoosiers had possession the 2nd half. We did enough to win. We had some dangerous shots & chances. Indiana didn't have a shot on goal, but had 2 corners to none for us. On to the semis this Friday. Go RU.

We play Michigan at 1:30 at Yurcak. Purdue took down Wisconsin 1-0.

Wait so the semifinal is at 1:30 on a Friday? What gives !? Figures because the big doesn’t want RU to have any benefit whatsoever !! Or be put on the big stage. Should be Friday night at 7:30.

Also, when was RU the highest remaining seeds in a conference tournament in any sport ..? Maybe WBB back in the big east when we won it? Baseball back in 2004? Are we now the “favorites”? I can’t say, since it looks like we’ll have to go through of course Michigan and Penn State for the championship. I hate to say it but on our home field I can see how this one could end. For the pride of Rutgers and New Jersey, go win it ladies !!!
