Women's Soccer Prepares for Northwestern in B1G Semifinals

Up 1-0 early. I'm telling you those ties, and all that extra playing time, while they may have cost us some "w's" during the season, IMHO, paid off in a big way. Been pointing to this, and hoping it would be the case, so good stuff so far!
I only saw the second half and it looked for the most part they were holding on. Glad they were able to come up with the W. They need to be able to counter better and control the ball rather than just clearing most of the last twenty minutes. NW had a lot of quality chance including the last run down the field.
How about those RU Ladies! Agree on the last 20 minutes. Very tough way to play. Gave up the middle of the field. Too much NW pressure in our defensive 3rd. No room for error. To our ladies credit there were no break downs or costly giveaways. In the first half we dominated & controlled play. Excellent team effort all around. Gave NW their only two losses on the season. Not easy to beat a good team twice. On to Minnesota at 2 on BTN. Go RU.

Pressure was on the whole second half. We did not even come close to getting a shot on goal in the second half
