And another shutout! Great win for the women. I wonder what the playing conditions were like, if yesterday's storm in the northeast was also raging out there.
With PSU's win to tie Wisconsin at the top of the standings, the Nits get the top seed in the tournament due to their win over Wisconsin. RU finished alone in 3rd and hosts Minnesota again this Sunday. In the end, one can point to the tie against Purdue, which is near the bottom of the B1G standings, as having cost RU a co-championship AND a #1 seed in the tournament, as we would have won the head-to-head competition in the 3-way tie by virtue of the victory over PSU. But avoiding the losing week in the state of Illinois would have left no doubt as who the best team is in the B1G.

The double OT 0-0 game with Purdue, in which we out shot them 1000 to almost nothing, really cost. But you can't win them all & they have been really great all season. Go RU.

The women play this Sunday 1pm at home in the first round of the B1G tournament! Playing Minnesota again. A win means we play the following Friday...winner of #7 Ohio State vs. #2 Wisconsin....that game could be home if Ohio State wins.
This team deserves our support. Hopefully a good run in the NCAA tournament is forthcoming.
The highest seed from the first round games hosts the following weekend. If Penn state wins the games are there. If penn st loses and Wisconsin wins it is in Wisconsin. If they both lose we can host if we win.
