IAnd that he failed numerous drug tests while on the Rutgers football team."
I don't believe the failed drug tests. I can't see any way that could be kept secret for months. IF it is true and Coach Flood knew, then that would be the end of me supporting Coach Flood. Again, I will beyond stunned if it is true and Flood knew.
said he was "addicted to marijuana".
He's trying to take down anyone associated with him. This is what people do when their caught read handed. Try and take down everyone around them. I would take what he says with a huge grain of salt. Kid's pissed he got caught and will lie to take everyone down.
More to do about nothing. The vast majority of teams in the country have players failing tests for weed. I would go so far as to say maybe every single one.
Next drama piece, please.
Not so fast.
I'm pretty certain that it is NOT team policy to implicate players in drug test failures.
During Schiano's tenure, both Anthony Davis and Kenny Britt flunked drug tests for weed. Officially, they were "suspended for violation of team rules."
I realize I live my life in the 1600's,but I still think there should be some suspension IF he failed and Coach Flood knew.
Hey, everyone uses the if I'm going down, then I'm taking everyone with me strategy. He's trying to take down anyone associated with him. This is what people do when their caught red handed. Try and take down everyone around them. I would take what he says with a huge grain of salt. Kid's pissed he got caught and will lie to take everyone down.
Speaking of which, what ever happened to Murdock's case against Rutgers?Hey, everyone uses the if I'm going down, then I'm taking everyone with me strategy.
It was Rutgers case against Murdock and I believe nothing happened. School just moved on.Speaking of which, what ever happened to Murdock's case against Rutgers?
No, I'm referring to this one.It was Rutgers case against Murdock and I believe nothing happened. School just moved on.
And kids get suspended for it at most places. Tyrone Matthews...aka the Honey Badger was kicked off the team at LSU.Nobody cares about a kid failing a drug test (let's not be hypocrites here, lol...). That's no an issue at all IMHO and you're 100% correct re: it happens everywhere (and a lot...).
I don't believe the University ever counter-sued Murdock, but it's possible you may be confusing that with this.It was Rutgers case against Murdock and I believe nothing happened. School just moved on.
And away we go....
...IIRC every athletic department has their own set of rules, for drug testing, failed tests, etc., and it is up to EACH TEAM to monitor their roster. If the failed tests were being reported, and suspensions were given equally - to any and all players on a specific roster - than there should be no issues. If they weren't reported, or suspensions were doled out with , let's say, "favoritism," there could be big, big problems. Just spitballin' here, for now....
...So let's not assume anything, but, it'll be interesting to see what comes of this. :(
And kids get suspended for it at most places. Tyrone Matthews...aka the Honey Badger was kicked off the team at LSU.
And Rutgers isn't LSU
Too tired to look it up but I thought it was the 5th that got him tossed. Anyway tomorrow is Homecoming...smoke em if you got em, none of us are eligible anywayHe failed, IIRC, 5 tests before his 1st suspension.
