Wrestling Announces 2016-17 Big Ten Opponents

Wow. THat is about as easy a schedule as you can get in the Big Ten, and also about as boring a home slate as you can get.

yeah no Iowa, Minny, Wiscy or Nebby (let's make Nebby a thing). and PSU, Michigan and tOSU are all away. Illinois home on the Jan 6 should be a good one though. Not often a defending 2X NCAA champ Junior comes to town.

I think we are building a solid season ticket holder base. Wrestling fans understand that the schedule will be changing from year to year. They also understand that the sideline seats they have are a great sporting option at a fair price. They know someone is waiting to take them. Thanks for listening. $$$$

The Home schedule may be much easier than the away schedule, but Penn St, Ohio St, Michigan, MSU, and Maryland AWAY is probably at least 3 losses. NW at home could be interesting with former NJ All Staters Johnny Sebastian and 285 Chakonis wrestling, plus RU will get to see the great IMAR of Illinois. RU could easily lose twice at home vs Illinois and either Indiana or NW.

Well, whether we win or lose those matches is another thing altogether. It is impossible to make a full scheule in the Big Ten without some top teams being in there. Obviously PSU, Michigan and OSU are very good, but after that (just going off last year's standings) we will wrestle ##8, #9, #10, #12, #13 and #14 in a 14 team league.
